Came across this article today on the Financial Times website, written by Tom Hiddleston, from March 2011, after filming for Thor.
Very interesting as are most things he says! Here’s a brief excerpt:
It is a Marvel comic/epic Norse odyssey all of its own in which Thor, the god of thunder, is cast out of Asgard and has to find a way home. As the damaged and jealous Loki, I do my best to stop him. The film is an explosion of brilliant, bright-coloured thunder and lightning, with stormy family dynamics at its centre, and, I hope, will be huge fun.
He says more about the film and about other things he’s worked on (mainly Archipelago) in the full article; check it out. There’s a nice sense of his “story” so to speak, finishing drama school just a few years ago in 2005.
